About me
I discovered hypnobirthing back in 2014 when I was pregnant with my eldest child. I’m excited to now be teaching the KG Hypnobirthing course and helping people prepare for birth.
When a baby is born, so is a parent and I want you to have the best possible start to your new role! Feel free to get in touch with any questions.

FAQs
-
KG Hypnobirthing is the original UK hypnobirthing course and is constantly evolving to keep up to date with the latest research and evidence.
KG teachers are highly trained to support you in hypnobirthing and throughout the course you will be equipped with the knowledge to understand your options during pregnancy and labour.
Booking a KG course also gives you access to support and free resources from the company.
-
Most people start the hypnobirthing course in the second trimester, but you can actually start anytime during pregnancy.
Starting in the second trimester means you will get the benefit throughout pregnancy as well as during labour and it gives you plenty of time to practise.
If you want to get started as soon as you find out you're pregnant that's perfectly fine!
Or if you're starting to feel anxious as the birth approaches, it really isn't too late to begin the course. It can help you get in the right mindset for labour and have a really positive impact on your birth experience -
Yes! You can pay in three instalments, or more if you get in touch. The course must be paid in full before your first session.
-
The KG Hypnobirthing course has been carefully planned and thought out, to make it a logical progression.
This is to make parents feel prepared and confident as they approach the birth of their baby.
Cutting out elements and shortening the course will leave gaps in knowledge and your hypnobirthing experience could be less successful as a result, which is why shorter courses are not available, unless it is a refresher session for people who have completed the course before.
-
Absolutely. I’ve met mums who have used hypnobirthing for their second birth and commented on how much of a different experience it was to their first pregnancy without hypnobirthing.
If you’ve done the course before, I also offer refresher sessions.
-
Hypnobirthing can help in any birth scenario as it helps prepare the mind and body for what is to come.
We talk about caesarean birth during the course and if you’re having an elective C-section I can provide you with some further information that might be useful. We can also talk about what it means to have a ‘gentle caesarean’.
-
It’s a good idea to come with your birth partner, so they can listen to the logic and understand your needs as you approach the birth of your baby.
-
Yes it will. I understand that for many reasons you might not be able to come with your birth partner and that’s ok. I will provide you with materials to take home and you can work through them with your partner in your own time.
If your birth partner can’t make it to the course at all, but you would like me to come and spend some time working through the relaxation techniques with you both at a separate date, this can be arranged for an extra fee.
-
Once you’ve finished the course, it’s important to keep practising the relaxation techniques you’ve learnt.
If you’ve paid for a private course, I will arrange a session with you towards the end of your pregnancy to discuss your progress.
If you’ve booked a group course, this can be added on for an extra fee.
If you have concerns at any stage that you would like to discuss with me, you can get in touch.
